Employee Testimonials
Here's what some of our employee's Have TO say About Working at KRMC:
For almost 15 years I have been employed here, working with many of the most dedicated professionals I have come across in my working career. In my job duties, I interact with many individuals from housekeeping, dietary, staffing, nursing, social services, education, wellness center, and our growing quantity of physician practices here at KRMC. I have watched with pleasure as the Little Minnows Child care was built and saw that KRMC parents' dreams were fulfilled by having a daycare facility on campus. I have been both a client (patient) and an employee, so I have a good grasp of just how much effort is placed on employee and client welfare. I have watched with pride the progression over the years with the advancements in technology, training for staff members, and as caring for individuals in an atmosphere of compassion continues to blossom and grow. Employees are empowered to give their opinions and ideas/solutions for improvement if needed. Working at KRMC is like my second home.

Kingman Regional Medical Center is one of the best rural community hospitals I have been lucky to be associated with in my 15-year experience as a pharmacist. This hospital is family-oriented, very innovative, and an all-inclusive organization. Patient's total welfare is foremost in the KRMC agenda. I am continually impressed with the hospital's emphasis on safety and patient care. This always gives me a good feeling to be part of Kingman Regional Medical Center!

As I was buried in my work as Environmental Services Director at a hospital in Kentucky my interest was piqued by a communication from Kelly Kimrey, Recruiter at Kingman Regional Medical Center. Hum Arizona, that's a long way I thought! I had briefly been through Kingman when going from Las Vegas to see the Grand Canyon. I remembered Route 66, Mountains, Lakes, wildlife, the 'old west'.
I could see myself riding my motorcycle with my lovely wife in tow and playing golf, all thanks to the great weather. One conversation led to another and I eventually spoke with Ryan Kennedy, Executive Director of Operations. It appeared we were kindred spirits in our desire for great customer service. He indicated the hospital was immersed in the Studer principles and he needed someone to 'Hardwire Excellence' in the Environmental Services Department. I love a 'challenge' and was convinced that Ryan would give me the support and freedom to accomplish this great task.
Upon visiting the hospital, I was impressed with the administration and the management of the hospital. Everyone I met was very friendly and seemed committed to this journey of excellence. Things changed from ''I'll just go and check this out" to "I want to be a part of this journey!" The 'rest of the story' is that I was given the opportunity to be a part of the management team and I am thankful that I not only answered Kelly's communication but went on accept a position that has been so rewarding.
Since I have joined the team here, with Ryan's support and giving me the freedom to "roll up my sleeves" and "make my own mark" there has been tremendous progress. Our patient satisfaction scores have soared, our employee satisfaction scores have improved, our department's image has improved and the general morale of our staff has improved. We still have a lot of work to do, but we are headed in the right direction. I left what was a friendly hospital, but Kingman Regional Medical Center had proven to be even friendlier. I love my job and the great opportunity to serve our staff, patients and visitors. This is made possible by the commitment to excellence by our Administration, their "letting us do our jobs," and "giving us the resources we need to get that job done!" We are a long way from home, but we have made a new home, new friends, new places to visit (and there are innumerable opportunities for recreation and tourism) and especially a new journey, helping bring "excellence" to our community and hospital. You don't want to miss it!
