KRMC FOUNDATION

The mission of the KRMC Foundation is to build goodwill, encourage community support, and to partner with Kingman Regional Medical Center to promote a healthier community

The Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) Foundation is an independent not-for profit 501(c)(3) corporation that provides fund-raising support to Kingman Regional Medical Center. With its formation on October 23, 1985, the KRMC Foundation is a legally separate entity from the hospital and has its own Board of Directors.

The Foundation solicits, receives, and administers gifts from individuals, corporations, private foundations, and grant-making entities for funding new medical equipment, expanding healthcare facilities, and to providing a variety of healthcare programs and services in the community.

Contributions to the Foundation are tax-deductible and remain "at home" to serve the needs of our community.

Successful Fundraising Efforts to Serve Community Needs

The KRMC Foundation has raised millions of dollars to benefit the community, most notably:

  • A $1 million grant from the Del E. Webb Foundation to build a full-service wellness and rehabilitation center.
  • A $1 million gift from the Becker and Lingenfelter Families toward building a $2.6 million KRMC hospice home.
  •  A $750,000 gift from the Katherine Duncan Trust to provide charity care to the uninsured and underinsured patients of KRMC. These funds are used in addition to the $9+ million dollars that the hospital provides annually in charity care.
  • A $250,000 gift from the Forsyth Family to build a beautiful healing garden to provide a peaceful and serene place for prayer and meditation at the hospital.
  • A $68,000 lift-equipped van from the Arizona Department of Transportation to provide transportation for special needs and elderly patients.
  • A $65,000 grant from the Phoenix Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to provide free breast cancer screening to uninsured/underinsured women.
  • A $30,000 donation ($10,000 for three concurrent years) from the Lloyd E. Russell Charitable Giving Fund to help patients with AIDS who need financial assistance with drug prescriptions, transportation, and other ancillary items not covered by their insurance.
  • A $10,000 grant from IBM Corporation for computer learning centers at the on-site, subsidized childcare center provided for KRMC employees.

Your Donation Makes a Difference in Our Community!

Individuals or groups may support the KRMC Foundation through a variety of giving opportunities and fundraising activities.   Contributions are used to fund various projects and initiatives that enhance health and quality-of-life in our community.  Many of these initiatives benefit our most vulnerable citizens; especially children, elderly, those in ill health, and those in socio-economic distress.
