Emergency Medicine Residency

At KRMC, residents in emergency medicine build valuable skills serving a diverse patient population, while experiencing a high level of independence and responsibility.

Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) is honored to be the only rural hospital in Arizona to have an emergency medicine residency program. Here, future emergency physicians gain outstanding training and vital experience working with a diverse population in a unique rural setting.

Residency Training at KRMC's First-Rate Emergency Department

At KRMC, emergency medicine residents receive comprehensive experiential training working in our busy emergency department (ED). With an expert faculty under extraordinary leadership, KRMC's ED consistently ranks among the top ED's nationwide for low wait times and patient satisfaction - all while providing skilled emergent care to a high volume of patients.

Currently, our ED sees an average 3,800 patents per month serving an estimated population of 77,000 from a large geographic area in northwestern Arizona, which includes the city of Kingman and many outlying small communities. Additionally, due to our location, our ED serves a significant number of tourists and travelers.
