Volunteering at KRMC

Every day, people like you make a positive impact on people’s lives by volunteering at Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC). Our volunteers have an important role in meeting the KRMC patient care mission by providing companionship and individual attention to our patients, visitors, and guests.

We invite caring, committed people to contribute their time and skills to meet the needs of our community and patients.

We currently have openings for volunteers in the following areas:

Cancer Center

Volunteers in the Cancer Center assist with a range of duties. They provide comfort and companionship to patients in their most vulnerable times. They assist nursing staff with delivering meals and other comfort-related tasks. Cancer Center volunteers are among the most compassionate of people.

Inpatient Units

Volunteers on the inpatient units are comfort care volunteers. These volunteers interact directly with patients to make their experiences better. They round on patients to ensure that they have what they need, including pillows, blankets, and other comfort items. Comfort care volunteers also assist nursing staff by responding to call lights and providing discharge services.

Information Desks

KRMC facilities house multiple information desks. Volunteers at the main lobby desk provide a warm welcome to patients, visitors, and guests – helping get them to their destinations, offering wheelchair transportation as needed.  At the outpatient surgery desk they assist and provide information to patients’ loved ones waiting during  procedures.

Youth Volunteers

KRMC’s Volunteen (Youth Volunteer) program is for high school students, ages 16 to 19 years old. Our program assists students in obtaining their community service hours needed for graduation. The program can also help students gain an understanding of the healthcare environment and may even encourage them to choose a career in the medical field.

Hospice Volunteers

Hospice volunteers are specially trained to provide support and companionship to patients at the end-of-life and their loved ones. Volunteers also assist with light household chores, run errands, or help in meeting a variety of other needs.

Volunteering at KRMC is extremely rewarding and a great source of pride and enjoyment. If you would like to contribute your time in the service or others, please contact Cecelia Clouser at (928) 263-5673 for more information.
