VOLUNTEERING AT KRMC
Volunteers are people from all walks of life who, for many reasons, offer their time and energy to help others. Their rewards are intangible and expectations of recognition modest, but all have one thing in common they like to make a difference. The greatest rewards come from the heart - comforting others with a squeeze of a hand, sharing a smile with a healing neighbor and offering company to someone feeling alone. The pay is a sense of peace, fulfillment, and completeness.
It takes a special person to be a volunteer. If you are someone who is willing to donate your time and energies to assist and comfort others, we warmly welcome you to join the KRMC volunteer team. Here, you'll find various opportunities to support staff and patients including:
- Greeting and Escorting Patients, Visitors and Guests
- Delivering Flowers and Mail to Patients
- Operating the KRMC Gift Shop
- Assisting with the Discharge of Patients
- Driving the Courtesy Cart "Cruiser"
- Liaison to the Emergency Department, Surgery and Other Departments
In addition to the many hours that are donated, KRMC volunteers also raise funds from the operation of the gift shop and fundraisers to purchase equipment that will help our patients.
