Oneview is here to enrich our patients’ hospital stay
We’re excited to announce the launch of Oneview at Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC). Oneview is a digital platform that provides entertainment, information, and communication tools for hospitalized patients. This technology greatly enhances patient care and comfort.
A “hub” for improving the patient experience
With Oneview, patients have an easy-to-use 22” smart tablet at their bedside, which offers:
- Video/audio communication with family and friends
- Entertainment (TV and movies)
- Games
- Internet access
- Education about the patient’s health condition
- Information about patient services and hospital resources
- Access to the patient portal
- Language interpretation services
- Meal ordering
A tool that supports patient-centered care
Oneview also helps improve operational efficiencies for KRMC staff. For example, it:
- Allows patients to view and complete education about their condition in an engaging format.
- Provides patients access to their patient portal account while they’re in the hospital— where staff can assist them with how to use it. This is important for coordinating subsequent care after discharge and for the patient’s future health needs.
- Oneview also displays real-time information on a separate digital door sign outside the patient’s room. Before entering the room, staff can see certain safety information, like if a patient is on isolation precautions or is at risk of falls.
