Didactics are held on Thursday mornings for five hours and focus on small group discussions that reinforce AOBEM/ABEM core content in emergency medicine. These group discussions follow a modular format, with different learning pathways available to complement residents' differing styles of learning. Weekly plenary lectures emphasize key learning points, and simulation is used to highlight each module’s subject matter. Once per month residents complete Journal Club, which serves to foster the necessary skills for lifelong learning and reviewing changing literature.
